Complexity is part of the world we live and work in. Different perspectives, competing priorities, rapid change and interconnected challenges make it increasingly difficult to find clarity and move forward.
Yet complexity does not have to mean complication. Sometimes, our attempts to manage complexity add more layers than necessary.
Uncomplicating Complexity explores how facilitation can help people navigate complexity with greater clarity, participation and purpose—making it easier to think together, work together and move forward.

Enabling Leaders to Listen
Complex issues are part of everyday work and life. Different perspectives, priorities and assumptions often make conversations harder. This interactive session lets participants experience how one simple facilitation process can make complexity easier to work with. Using 1-2-4-All, participants will think, listen, contribute and build on different views. The focus is not on finding the right answer, but on creating the conditions that help people move forward together, even when they hold very different views.

Beyond the Generational Divide: One Workplace, Many Worlds
Five generations may share one workplace, yet they often speak different languages of trust, feedback, technology and purpose. This energising session moves beyond stereotypes to reveal the needs beneath generational behaviour.
Participants will experience simple facilitation practices that help people listen across differences, value each generation’s strengths and create shared ways of working. They will leave seeing generational diversity not as a problem to manage, but as potential unlocked.

Actions and Implementation
We know how to generate lots of ideas and options. Then we shortlist the ideas and options to a manageable list. Often, teams reach an impasse at this stage as the members have different priorities or preferences towards certain actions to be taken first.
This is a straightforward method to come to the priority actions that need to be taken. This takes into account logic, practical and impartial analysis.

Amy is the current Chair of IAF Malaysia.

Uncomplicating Complexity with W3 (What, So What, Now What?)
Complexity stalls action when teams jump straight to arguments instead of alignment. In this interactive 45-minute sprint, learn W3 (What, So What, Now What?), a powerful tool that builds shared understanding by moving step-by-step up the inference ladder. Using simple sticky notes and markers, you will practice all three progressive rounds on a real work challenge. Participants will leave ready to facilitate simple, structured debriefs that turn chaotic discussions into clear action.
Bravo Looi
Bravo Looi is an IAF Endorsed Facilitator, Leadership Coach and Learning Facilitator, and currently serves as Vice Chair of IAF Malaysia. A former President of the Malaysian Association of Facilitators (MAFa), he is also the founder of Nicsmics Digital and Nicsmics Academy, bringing together experience in people development, business and digital transformation. His facilitation helps leaders and teams navigate complexity, align perspectives and priorities, and turn collective thinking into meaningful action.
Designing the Thinking of the Room: Moments That Matter
By late noon, participants have experienced multiple sessions, frameworks, and ideas. It is rich but potentially scattered. This final session demonstrates how facilitators uncomplicate complexity.
Using FLEX itself as the application, participants surface what they are holding from the morning, organise it into patterns, and integrate it into shared meaning. Through facilitation, you will experience how thinking transforms from scattered to connected. This is by making thinking visible to the room.
